Vineyard Women's Conference: Our Unlikely Stories

(Blessing the Variety of our Gifts, Callings & Cultures)

In every culture and ethnic heritage, God has tucked a unique piece of his character. In every woman there are gifts you’ll never see anywhere else in quite the same combination. And in every calling – outside the church and in it, public and hidden – there is God-given dignity and worth. Come and hear from three very different women the stories of how God calls us and shows us our gifts, how we help each other name and ‘own’ that calling and gifting, and how we support each other as we launch out into those unique things God has called us to do. We hope these stories will inspire you to ask bigger questions of God and yourself, and to celebrate the great diversity of gifts, callings and cultures within our own churches.

Don't miss this awesome event with these dynamic speakers:

Having married her husband Steve three years into his planting of what is now Vineyard Christian Church of Evanston, she has lived all her married life intimately involved with church planting and church life. Cindy is a teaching pastor at Evanston Vineyard and oversees the arts and intercession ministries. She co-chairs the Women’s Task Force for the Vineyard USA, and co-leads the Women in Ministry team within it, alongside pastors Adey Wassink and Cheryll Hanawalt. Cindy and Steve have three grown children, and their household has recently expanded to include Cindy’s 92-year- old mother.

Adey Wassink, along with her husband Tom, planted and for 11 years has pastored the Vineyard Community Church in Iowa City, Iowa. Theirs is a lively church of young and increasingly diverse people excited about making space for the Holy Spirit and expecting and seeing God come into all domains of life.
Adey has a particular passion for seeing women everywhere discover and thrive in their gifting and calling.
She has a master’s degree in counseling, completed theological training at Fuller Seminary and is currently completing a doctorate in missiology (a fancy word for understanding God’s mission).
